About

"I felt a curious thrill, as if something had stirred in me, half wakened from sleep. There was something very remote and strange and beautiful behind those words, if I could grasp it, far beyond ancient English." --J.R.R. Tolkien

This blog is dedicated to that curious thrill that glimmers throughout life. When we encounter that curious thrill--be that through the written word, a chance encounter, a beautiful landscape, a prayer, etc.--we see, for a moment, more clearly the scope and grandeur of life, of creation, and of our Creator.

As a Christian and a writer, I am constantly on the lookout for those moments of A Curious Thrill. I cherish the remote and the strange and the beautiful, and I attempt to grasp or seek out what lies beyond while also valuing and engaging what is present and tangible.

This blog is for everyone. Here we will celebrate and explore the curious thrills that give life its color.

So welcome. Will you join me on this adventure?

About Rebecca

An aspiring novelist, Rebecca writes fantasy stories while simultaneously dreaming of traveling to Narnia, Middle-earth, and whatever fantasy world she is currently writing about. When she’s not lost in the pages of a book, she’s likely belting out songs from The Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis, listening to her collection of soundtrack music, or cheering madly for her favorite college football teams. Rebecca is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in English-Writing. Follow Rebecca on Twitter and Pinterest! Contact her at acuriousthrillblog@gmail.com
